Black Moshannon Creek

Black Moshannon Creek flows 6.5 miles near the town of Phillipsburg in Black Moshannon State Park.  Perched on the top of the Allegheny Plateau, Black Moshannon Creek features portions that are highly accessible and portions that are walk-in.  A moderate number of trout are stocked in the creek with low numbers of wild brook and brown trout in the mountain plateau setting. Special regulations apply to 1.3 miles upstream of Huckleberry Bridge. Upper and lower reaches have roads closely paralleling stream.

Access

PA Route 504, nine miles east of Philipsburg, 15 miles west of Unionville, north of Black Moshannon State Park on forest road from the park beach area. The lower area of Black Moshannon Creek is accessible from Huckleberry Road than north on Myers Run Road.

Regulations & Licenses:

Delayed Harvest Artificial Lures Only - 1.3 miles; From Dry Hollow downstream to 0.3 miles downstream of the Huckleberry Road bridge.
