DAY ONE: Tour Centre Furnace Mansion, where Penn State University began. Then stop in the train station in Bellefonte and pick up a self-guided walking tour map of Victorian Bellefonte. While in town be sure and visit the antique shops. [Get Map]
DAY TWO: Take a guided tour of Historic Curtin Village/Eagle Iron works, the restored 19th-century ironmaster's plantation. In the afternoon lunch at the top of Centre Hall Mountain and view the magnificent Nittany Valley. While in Centre Hall stop in at the interesting shops along the way. Next let your imagination travel back in time. Tour Penn's Cave, an all-water cavern formed from the bed of a shallow sea that existed millions of years age.
